Hydraulic car lift and lifting options
I'm thinking of buying a hydraulic lift, something movable and not mounted into the floor. If not, then to have a comfortable setup that lifts the car more than a foot of the ground.
This one looks nice in the video they have (under the picture "Product Video"):

Please post pictures of how to lift/jack your car to work on it.
Thanks

I just bought and installed a Greg Smith lift. The OH-10x. With some help, got it up and running in about 6hrs. I had the celing height, so I got the tallest widest lift they had. You'll save some loot if you can go get it yourself at one of their "local" warehouses, if you are close enough. I only had to drive 2hrs up and back, so no brainer for me. Works good, but is still kinda slow and jerky on the way down, but gets the job done. Cheap too...

I personally love my scissors lift, its a great investment for a standard 9 foot garage ceiling height. I use mine as a back up when I have projects on the two post lift up front. It was truly shocking to me how much I can do on this lift. As you can see I pull 914 and 911 motors on it with no problem I think mine is the 72 inch high one. My scissors lift is more stable than having a car on my two post lift. I think it has to do with the base being directly under the car. You had asked or mention moving it around mine was designed just for that as I think most are, it has little dolly thing that you pull up on and that allows you to drag it wherever you like smooth surface works best. Another great thing is that for lowered cars I made the ramp that you can see under the car in the pictures. I can very easily drive my slammed NSX or turbo right up to it and lift. But it also works as a normal daily driver parking spot if needed. no need to move the lift around after working on your car.

That looks actually really good heeltoe thanks for the pics. Do you need the ramps in order to go on the scissor lift or you can just drive over it, set the jack locations and lift it up?
What brand scissor lift do you have? That height looks like you can't stand underneath (nor can you lay down on the floor). Do you sit on something under the car and work on it?
