Airfield Racing - King of the Street Video
A porsche 996 did quite nicely yesterday at a private airfield event. Check out the video to see the racing. Here's the setup in the Porsche 996 Turbo: 3.8L motor and twin GT35r's. 4.82 60-130 | 10.6s at 149mph 1/4 Mile | 212.4mph TEXAS MILE |
I posted it under the thread congratulating Todd
If you took that video, great job! Also, amazing how quickly you got it edited and uploaded! |
Bad ass car! Thanks Brian. Great vid by the way.

lol thanks!
1000hp was not enough I got eliminated the first round and filmed rest of the time. |
Nice vid, I like how you listed advancements in text, so it was easy to follow. Any idea how much hp the the 996 was pushin? It must be a lot with increased displacement and 2 big turbos.Does anyone else feel a little disheartened that a 996 with these mods only nets a 10.6 in the 1/4 mile? Maybe he was going for consistency for bracket racing, instead of fastest et possible? Was the Turbo running slicks?

Very nice! I love how the 996 TT just goes about its business with little drama or loud exhaust noise LOL

There are many drivers out there that could run 9's with my car. I just don't want to break my tranny. Maybe he was going for consistency for bracket racing, instead of fastest et possible? Was the Turbo running slicks? I was going for trap speed. No, I run Toyo R888's |
