I have a Cross Titanium system on my car 3 1/8" with no cats; three local Porsche guys have all gone for a ride in my car this last week or two and they all said it sounded better then there cars with various exhausts on there car. Actually they all raved about the sound.

I must admit I do not normally feel much for the sound of a boxer 6 but this Cross exhaust does sound real good. The two videos do not do it justice, but they do give you and idea.

Thanks for all the info!! I'll sort through everything tonight. The quest for perfect turbo sound has started . That throws my "no mod" idea right out the door LOL Oh well, exhaust, tune and maybe suspension and DONE (at least that's what I tell myself).

Can all systems be fitted with stock exhaust tips? Also, what is legal in CA?

Dear lord, that sounds insane!! Do you get a lot of droning at 2-3k rpm? So, this system is called JIC Cross Exhaust system?

Yes, all our 996TT and 997TT systems (quiet & loud versions) can be fitted with the stock tips.

As for legality in CA, you will have to verify to be sure, but as I understand it, the only road legal exhaust system in CA. is the OEM exhaust or a system with stamped, "CARB" approved catalytic converters. There are no aftermarket systems that I have ever heard of that carry the "CARB" approved cats...only the OEM has this approval. You can call, PM or email me as well, if you have any questions or would like to discuss this...

You may be right about that but if it looks OEM, I honestly doubt anyone will ever know. Most important is that it passes the sniffer test; not really worried about the visual too much.

That is how the majority of aftermarket exhaust owners approach it. Our X-cellerator X-Flow exhaust systems have always passed the CA emmissions testing by a very large margin and we have a lot systems in CA.

Not at all, the system sounds really good at 2 to 3 k actually it sounds the best at those RPM's for crusing.

And yes it is the JIC Cross Titanium system. I really do not like loud Cars and this system is a good mix of growl and it quiets down nicely for cruise speeds even without cats.

If anyone has a better place to bring where they are interested in sniff in San Jose CA, pls PM me-

Sorry to high jack the thread

My guess it looked beefier and more close to a full stock exhaust??

Damn, that sucks! Another reason I want it to look as stock as possible. Maybe SoCal is a little more mod friendly??
