Billet 24/20 Turbo Driving Impressions & Dyno Sheet
I know a lot of questions come up about all the different turbo options for our cars so I thought I would share a little. I was running the stock K24s and went this route with the new upgrade;
-EPL Dyno Tune
-K24/20 Billet turbos
-72lb injectors
-Custom Inlet Pipes
-EVOMS Diverters
-EVOMS 3.5" IC's
-EVOMS Silicone Hose Kit
-EVOMS Clubsport Headers
-Remus Exhaust 100 Cell Cats
-UMW Clutch Kit w/ LWFW
-GT2 Clutch Conversion
The car is still AWD and I left a little on the table for future modding which I am aware of and I am sure I will address in the very near future. I wanted to try and keep a very OEM style car, with OEM feel, and OEM sound. Sometimes that's a very fine line to jump rope and its easy to get carried away with building a race car that you drive on the street.
The tune from EPL makes the car feel like it came from the factory, I was skeptical that the car drove too smooth when I first received it. The gas mileage is better, throttle response is better, its an all around better car right off the bat.
Honestly on 93 octane the power increase from the K24s TO ME wasn't really that noticeable until high up in the RPM band. I felt the same way when I drove a 24/18G car and this is why I went the 20G route. When the car is pulling a steady 1.4bar boost and it gets going that's when you feel the additional power, but still not until top of 3rd and then all the way through 4th gear.
However.... and this is a BIG however, when the car is flashed to the 100 octane file this car HAULS ***. It pulls nice and hard when its in boost!!! It is totally night and day, and I do not think the car is going to see 93 octane anytime soon.
I think because of how good the car feels with the 100 octane I will go the meth route sooner or later and hopefully be able to run 93 + Meth and get similar results. Then on those special occasions flash to 100 and run the fun stuff.

Nice. 598awhp on Tonys dyno is alot of power. LI has E85 everywhere you know, I filled up for 2.99$ last weekend by Timmys. Do some 60-130s

20gs are good... a clipped turbine wheel helps a little... we did a 20g 6 years ago and to this day its kicking ***... you have all the right parts on the car... enjoy....

yeah you got a good 2% spot there. would love to see vbox of this. i would suspect very low 6s. just make sure you ride out 4th all the way to the limiter....
i know i know but last time i looked there were like 6 gas stations within 20 minutes driving time around Tims place. i've used two of them. philly only has ONE E85 station 20 minutes away from where i live (with no traffic) and not in a spot that i normally pass so it has to be a special trip everytime. IMO it's still worth it.

For sure, I am sure we will link up at a meet or one of the runs again.
