Big turbos - inlet intake pipe (fender intake)
speeders , when i took out my 997 turbo garret GT3076 fender intake pipe , i noticed its smaller than the comprosser wheel inlet housing !!
so i Measured the intake pipe it was 2.6'' and the comprosser wheel inlet was 3'' !!!! so is it bad running a intake pipe smaller than turbo inlet housing ???? i would like to know guys who are running GT30s , GT35s , a3076 what size you are running for intake pipe ??? i asked in 996tt forums because many of you running big turbos  thanks in advance .. i used 2.5" inlet pipes. dont think bigger will fit back there. unless you do fender intakes.

I had 3'' from the turbo up to the the back of the motor then went to 3.5'' right to the maf. I would think it hurts but only one way to really find out. I dumped the maf and the stock ECU for that matter. moved the turbos too, no fender intakes here.

Mine are 3" all the way to the top. It does not make that big of a difference though with that extra .4". Most setups that are 3" are flattened in areas to make room for the tires. I remember seeing Scott's White GT2 having it done and a few other Proto setups. Justin had to do the same on his car when he did them on the ORIGINAL test Boost Logic kit, but when mine was built (the "production" kit) there was a lot of time spent to tuck up against the frame rail. It is a VERY tight squeeze back there, but in the end .4" isn't going to hurt you at all for power, nor will you gain any by getting that extra .4" :)

got the point , thanks alot guys for your help ;)
