Hey you guys with the aftermarket steering wheels.... My shop is saying that the spring for PSM doesn't fit what they ordered (OMP) and therefore they have to do some type modification to retain PSM for high dollars. I am disappointed in this and I assume you guys with FVD and other brand did not run into any problems with PSM not being functional?

I'm not sure which one Chance had in mind. I put a link for the Dallas place earlier in this thread. They just take your wheel and make it into whatever you want them to, smaller, fatter, with a flat bottom whatever. Personally I wouldn't take the airbag out of one of these cars. These cars are not race cars. Our cars, unlike race cars with fully built cages, have crush zones. Having an airbag in my opinion will help in a head on impact with a wall, another car, etc.. The only advantage I see in a non airbag wheel is a quick disconnect....

Porsche does have an OEM sport steering wheel, but it's an extremely rare option to find. I was lucky enough to find one because my car was decked out with options as a special order with the sport steering wheel, SSK, sport seats, and a total of $35,000 overall in options.

I used to own a 996 with the regular steering wheel and the Porsche OEM sport wheel is a HUGE improvement. It's a couple of inches smaller and much thicker than the regular wheel. I've never wanted to change it because it's excellent.
