Just wondering how reliable this valve is and how often it's been replaced in cars.

usually the problem is in the hoses connected to the N75 not the unit itself and by changing the unit you are also fixing the hose leaks... just an observation...

Hmmm, interesting. when I removed my y-pipe, I did not even think of removing the lines going to the N75, that would make the procedure a lot tougher.

The N75 valve is very cheap for a porsche product

^What Mark said. When I had boost issues, I went and bought a new N75. As I was taking things apart for the swap, I noticed a disconnected hose. Connected it back and was good to go and have been since.

I also now have a spare N75 ready to go in case I need it.

I checked all my hoses on mine before changing and everything was on tight and saw no splits or cracks in them. The car would boost 1.2-1.3 before now it boosts 1.3-1.4 on same tune after changing it out. I have a feeling it may have been failing I while back as the car was always a hair short of the desired requested boost level on my old FVD flash.

feeling is not the way to test... lol

boost leak test is at the Y pipe... ... it will find everything...
OR if you have durametric you can log the n75 see if it works... simple..
