USP Motorsports is proud to announce that we have finally completed, and released our Porsche 996 Turbo Race Exhaust system! After long hours of design, development, and testing we have found the right combination to hit target results in terms of performance, quality, and sound. Each system is hand-made by USP Motorsports, constructed of 3” mandrel bent, T-304 Stainless Steel tubing and USP Motorsports muffler system. The muffler is completely custom, designed in-house by USP. It is a U-shaped design with center X-pipe, developed for flow efficiency and sound. The muffler allows for a tolerable city / partial throttle driving tone, and a very audible exotic note during spirited driving. Our system is full 3” diameter all the way through from the turbochargers to the exit, no reduction from the turbo all the way back to the tips. This is considered a “race” exhaust due to the fact that the catalytic converters are eliminated from the system. The tips are slant cut 3.5” diameter tube, custom made by USP Motorsports, transitioned from the 3” system with no obstruction in flow. Optional finish for the tips (or the entire lenght) is jet coated black, or polished. A unique feature in this system is that the flanges bolted to the turbo were made with the TiAL upgraded turbo kit in mind. They are a larger opening then stock, so it will not obstruct the flow from the wastegate outlet on the TiAL Alpha system. We have found this to be an issue with some other aftermarket exhausts (at least 0.2" restriction). Another advantage to our system is the weight savings over factory. When changing to the USP 996 Race Exhaust, you will save 40% weight over the factory setup!

Thank you!
LOL, it is relatively smooth sounding considering the spartan design with no cats and high flow from end to end. It's a perfect balance of raw performance and reasonable streetability. Since it does produce max possible power, it''s not for the faint of heart that prefer the mellow tones of stock pipes. But it's definitely ok to live with for daily driving, if you are performance minded like us.

The system looks very functional but the welds sure leave a lot to be desired.
Sorry to be Mr poopy pants but I think weld quality and aesthetics is required on a product of this nature; and ironically it requires very little extra time if any to achieve if a welder has the skills.

My little brother is out here now in the S.D. area. He made the exhaust on Prodigy' (schoolbus) turbo. Im sure he'll build you one if you want. PM me if you want his contact.

Engine guy, no worries, we welcome all comments and use your input to perfect our offerings.
Note: this was a first prototype test fit in the pics, we have observed ourselves that the subsequent ones come out a little smoother.
Keep in mind this is a pure race system and we absolutely guarantee flawless fit and unmatched performance!!
