When are you going to be up and running?

 

the retaining plate finally came in from germany along with the 4 point bearing..... but we decided to add a Carbonetic 2.0 way LSD to the mix along with getting the updated clutch design for my triple carbon ERP clutch. possibly this weekend if all the parts get in here in time.

 

Great, I'm looking forward to your review of the ERP clutch. That may be next for me.

I've been running the ERP triple carbon since April '12. It has been fantastic. He recently made some changes and its now a Version 4, he knew my trans was out so ERP wanted to get the latest parts in my car and see how I feel about the updates as well. Tim has the latest v4 design already since he just got his clutch.

same squad. tim and i were gonna work on it on saturday but we took parts to get properly cleaned up and barbequed at his place instead

 

damn that gear set looks gooooood.. im visualizing the length of tire marks you will leave in 1st and 2nd !
what will be ur top speed in 1st now, with that 1" taller rear ? also 2nd ?

 

I got a tire at home thats almost another inch taller then what i run right now. Thats going on the drag pack - with that it should do 57~60mph in 1st gear. Hopefully the LSD will help traction a little bit.

Looks good Mark. Like the mainshaft. What ratio did you go with on the LSD?

 

LSD is a 2-way. I dont road course my car so to me 1.5 or 2 doesnt make a difference. Yeah the new gears look nicey nice. I should have some more updates soon.

 

Your gonna love the LSD. Makes our cars that much better/fun to drive!

Updates... There where some set backs.. One was the cracked center case. Thank you Matt@ GT.. two was it looked like the four point bearing had seized at one time and trashed the retaining plate and shims. It was replaced with a gt2/3 forged piece. That made life a bit hard as I do not have the tools to set the pinion depth but it just so happens I know someone with the tools, We all know how that goes. But Bobby@ Manhattan Motorsports and I finally where able to nail a day down that worked for both of us. Three was 4th gear's face was damaged. Marked sourced 4th gear from Palette, Corey saved the day.. Thank you! Well the box is now finished and going in my car ... Mark is coming Sunday and we will do the install..
