Clutch pedal doesn't return 100% - GT2 slave setup
Hi guys,
Last night I drove up to Santa Monica to catch a movie, and just at the end of my trip, I noticed the clutch was not returning fully, and the bite point had moved down almost to the floor. I had to pull the pedal up with my foot for the last 4-5 shifts as I parked. When I came out of the movie, the problem was gone, and it's back to normal. This is usually the sign of a failed slave, but I have the full GT2 setup, so now I'm really confused. I checked the reservoir and there's plenty of fluid in the system. Has anyone else with a GT2 slave experienced this before? |
If there aren't any leaks out of the master or slave I'd try bleeding it before you start throwing parts at it. It's a pretty simple setup and the slave and master are cheap. So if the bleeding doesn't work I'd just replace both at the same time.

+1 on bleeding. Sounds like there is some air in your system.

i had this occur with a Evoms kit right out of the box , I just had to replace the master cylinder

Leaking front pentosin reservoir
Has anyone tried just removing the gear between the power steering side and the clutch side? Kind of like is done on the GT2 conversion. I tried it today the clutch is really stiff but no more Pentosin building up in the front reservoir and the clutch is engaging at the same point now. I am wondering if this will damage anything?

Just got a call back from my local shop - looks like the hose I had made up is leaking from where the hydraulic shop swaged the fittings, so I'll need a new hose.
I do not want to use the same hydraulic place again - for obvious reasons. Does anyone know where to buy just a hose? |
