While I would agree with you on this in regard to the tread wear rating, The section width is a measure of the tire from sidewall to sidewall. Of course, this number is subjective to the size of the wheel it is installed on... Did you mount the Bridgestone on a 12" wheel? - If so I'd be very curious to see a picture.

I really like the Bridgestones RE050A N1s in 235/35/19 and 305/30/19. I went with this size because my car is RWD and thus I'm not limited to the 315/25/19s you have to run with AWD. I just put my street wheels on my car and drove about 15 miles on them so they are brand new but they seem very smooth, quiet and provide a nice ride. I can't really say that I can tell much difference between these and the PS2s in 315/25/19 but then again its been close to 6 months since I had the street wheels on the car so don't rally have a back to back comparison. I do know that comparing the tires with the PS2s, the RE050As have a much stiffer side wall. I am used to a much harsher ride with my track wheel set up as I had left my 18" track wheels with NTO1s on the car since the end of track season. The RE050A (especially the rears) are wider and sit more square on the rim compared to the PS2s which were more pinched. Also, at just under $1300 installed they are a deal for a Porsche spec tire. Below are pictures of the tires on the car. Wheels are 19x9 front and 19x12 rear..

That setup looks awesome - but DAY'UM! Check out those grilles! Are those the Rennline ones installed? I ordered and have mine already, and I haven't even taken delivery of the car yet!

I'm also going to need to get new rubber all around on the 19" wheels that come with the car. I want to go as wide as possible while not requiring mods. Any suggestions?

Just a bit eager...

Those are not the Rennline grilles. They are the grilles that come with the RUF bumper. The rear tires are a super tight fit on 19x12 ET44 wheels. My fenders are rolled like on the GT2 and the inside of the tire clears the fender liners with about 1/8" of clearance. There is no rubbing however.

I am the 2nd owner. The previous owner sent the car to RUF for the complete Rturbo conversion which according to the invoices from RUF came to just under $60K. That includes the following RUF parts: Engine ECU, Hybrid K24 turbos, turbo intake pipes, intake manifold, fuel filter, exhaust w/ 100cell cats, clutch, suspension, wheels, wheel studs, spacers, front and rear bumper, rear spoiler, front strut bar, 350mm brakes and 6pot calipers, pedals, door sills, shifter, mirrors, floor mats.

Since I purchased the car I installed the Euro GT3 seats, Tequipment roll bar, 997 GT2RS Intercoolers, JRZ suspension with 600/800 rates, GT2 fender liners, 996 GT3 Cup front brake ducting, 996 GT2 rear brake ducts, 997.2 PCCB caliper brakes with 380/350mm front/rear rotors, and the larger 997.2 GT3 brake master cylinder. The car is RWD and I also had the diff replaced with a Guard Club LSD and added a transmission cooler. There is no PSM so it's a lot of fun at the track but the car can bite pretty hard if not careful. I don't drive it much on the street.

You don't by chance have a picture of the rear wheel with the 315/25/19's installed do you?

Actually, I did dig this one up with the 315/25/19 PS2. It may be hard to tell in the picture but the tire is definitely slightly narrower and more pinched than the 305/30/19 RE050A especially considering that the rim protector portion of the tire is less pronounced on the PS2. If you look at this picture and compare it to the 2nd pic in post #32 you will see that the Bridgestone is much more "square" on the rim. The fronts are pretty much the same for both the PS2 and the RE050A.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I decided to go with the Michelin Super Sports.

305/30/19 & 235/35/19... I got them for a $1300 out the door w/ tax and installation through Evans Tire in San Diego.

Ran into a cool orange car in the parking lot as well!

Awesome pictures!

I presume you meant to say you went with the 235/35 front tire and 305/30 rear tire; is that correct?

Also curious to know; is your rear wheel an 11.5" or 12"?

And it looks fantastic!

Here is another pic of the 315/25/19 Toyo T1R's. I think this pic is what made me want a bigger sidewall... the 25's are just too skinny.
