Check your fuel pump harness b4 it's too late
6 Attachment(s)
As the thread states, we recently took in a clients car, Randy, who lifted the head for some odd reason when he was on race gas and as he stated only at 1.4 bar.... I WAS SKEPTICAL in the beginning and said one of two things: too much boost or bad gas.... turned out to be neither....
We built the motor and soon after a break in we realized something is wrong... I logged the car and at 1.1 bar it was leaning out. Went straight for the fuel tank, checked the harness and the assembly and found damaged leads which pointed to the pump drawing amperage as it was on its way out... no signs, no signals, no failsafe fuses doing its job... just a blown head gasket with a hole ... thank God we caught it otherwise it would be the same deal all over again... Markski ps. check your harness https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1365637146 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1365637146 |
Looks like that needs to be added to the standard check list.

Thanks for sharing this information Markski.
There are a lot of vendors on here. These vendors are the people that run into stuff like this all the time. Most don't take the time to post and share their experiences. Again thanks for making this a better place. |
Good info in here, going to check mine out.
