The ricers would laugh until that thing disappeared in a cloud of exhaust and tire smoke. Group B rally cars are amazing! Google the ford RS200 Evo if you're curious. AWD, 650 hp cosworth 2.1L engine from the factory, and can go 0-60mph in 2 seconds. Nobody would be laughing for long.

Makes me think of the Merkur XR4TI.

What ever happened to those things?

Gramicci101 Jul 30, 2005 08:16 AM

Group B rally was outlawed after a horrific series of fatal accidents. Most manufacturers pulled out of the rally even before it was closed. After that, there was no real reason to keep making the things. You can still find them for sale though.

I'd like to meet the guy who named that thing. It's like his fingeres slipped on the keyboard and a scrambled bunch of letters appeared...and he used that for the name. I'd like to introduce the Ford 3l2i4j. :D
