what's different about turbo diesel oil?
 

Doing an oil change again soon. Was thinking about using Mobil 1 5w40 turbo diesel oil. Now what is the difference with regular Mobil 1 5w40? Just want to make sure it's safe for the engine.

TDT oil (Mobil 1 Diesel/Truck 5W40) is recommended by Kevin from "Ultimate motor works" because of the higher content of ZDDP. I've been using it since two years and the car seems happy about it ;-)

truth be told. in summer months, i top off with m1 tdt. it seems to quiet the marbles lol

I run Rotella T6(5w40), higher levels of ZDDP and moly

i had a girl named molly in an alley once. before cctv, thankfully.

I've decided to go 5w-50 instead :). I thought it would be hard to find but free shipping on Amazon :) . Even easier than a store run!
