Does anyone know whether it's been attempted?

js bear thanks. Both conversions are nice. But I was hoping to use parts from the GT3 lemans RSR kit - front bumper/fenders.
as long as the bonnet and headlight positions on narrow and wide bodies are the same, shouldn't be too difficult to make it work. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1377834010 |
Are you planning on driving this on the street? You will probably tear it off.
|
right.
street but not daily. In Hong Kong everything is flat unless you need to park in a car park/lot. Street meter parking is OK. Hardly drive the car as it is so no worries. |
To answer OP question--yes it will fit. Should bolt straight on--near enough. Not so sure about radiators etc location-- but should not be too difficult to adapt.
It is EXTREMELY low for a street car-- if it is set up higher it looks odd to my eye. |
here is a good one.

Similar to GMG's WCgt2 996tt wide body. Conversion Kit - dp96 GT2Evo for (Carrera 4S and Turbo)* The Kit consists of: - front bumper - flared fenders - side sills - rear bumper - rear deck lid - rear wing http://www.dp-motorsport.de/t3lib/th...2.jpg&size=398 http://www.dp-motorsport.de/t3lib/th...1.jpg&size=398 http://www.dp-motorsport.de/t3lib/th...3.jpg&size=398 http://www.dp-motorsport.de/t3lib/th...r.jpg&size=398 Came across a similar offering from American International Racing: A.I.R. 996 twin turbo 1" wider each side with wider gt2 style bumper. http://www.americaninternationalraci...259246&page=80 anyone seen examples of the AIR kit or have recent experience with their 996 products? For those interested in wide fenders only Getty offers one that appears to fit with OEM bumper. but not sure if these are wider than oem turbo fenders http://www.gettydesign.com/996_bodywork.html |
