HELP - Not sure what vacuum hose this is?

Hi folks,
So I decided to change my diverter valves using the AWE Tuning installation manual.
http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/AWE_DV1_996TT.pdf

Within the instructions it asks to remove a C-Clip on a 20mm vacuum hose Step 5. Unfortunately the stupid C-Clip fell out of my hand and I need another one.
Spoke with my Porsche dealership but I don't know what that hose is called in order for them to order me this "quarter size" plastic c-clip.
Can anyone tell me what vacuum hose this is or part number so I can order this clip?
Greatly Appreciated,

FYI - What a pain to change the diverter valves - mine had factory clips and not screw clamps (I know lowering the engine would save time/headaches but I didn't choose that route).

I know exactly which clip and hose you mean, but I don't know what they're called :(

Completely unrelated - have you posted any pictures of your car?
I'd love to see what your wheels look like on the car

They're meant to be extremely light aren't they?

Oh, that's something that you really don't want to lose. Try blowing it out with compressed air. See if you can blast it out of there. I suggest you put a new screw on hose clamp to hold the F hose on also. Mine would not hold 1.3 bar.

The clip did not fall within the vacuum hose. I misplaced it somewhere in the garage and it's like finding a needle in a haystack.
It's the below C-Clip in Grey that I'm looking for. Anyone have a part # or what hose it holds to. Parts guy at the Porsche dealership doesn't know what it is...Thanks Folks.

Also I will post pics of my car shortly. I have a GT2 Deck Lid wing going to be added shorlty!

That is the brake vacuum line for brake booster...I am afraid this clip cannot be purchase separately from the hose assembly....

Thank you so much JPFLIP, any alternative I can use. I would hate to have to purchase the brake booster line for a small c-clip.
Thanks again!

It is a simple piece of plastic (but very important) that can be reproduce if you had one to copy from..... But I don't know where to get one sorry....I think (not 100% sure) the hose assembly is #14 on this drawing and it is, in fact, expensive...

I was just quoted for the complete vacuum line - $125. Ouch and all I need is that C-Clip......

If your good at machining plastic part I can give you some info...I took mine out and I am taking the dimensions...Won't be long....

It would be a lot better if you found the original lock ring because, again, it is an important part. But if you are good at machining small plastic part go for it!!!!(remember the engine compartment heat can go up to 60 C') You can always test it if it lock....Remember this snap ring function is to lock the inner sleeve so you cannot move it towards the outer sleeve and release the vacuum hose. IMHO a tie-wrap that fit in the groove can have the same function....But of course it won't be oem ;-)

Old thread revive, but I lost the same C-clip when I had my engine out. You can buy the replacement clip from the dealer for $0.68. It's called a vacuum line connecting piece lock on diagram 604-10 in PET listed along the associated vacuum line in question (#22). The old clip part number is 999.230.535.40 which has now been superseded to 999.230.512.40. The new plastic C-clip is white instead of the old grey. Hope this helps.

Good to know. I treat mine like a rare diamond. I've lost a clip on a transmission line from an older car I've owned. The dealer wanted a ton of money for the whole new part so I wound up spending an hour with a magnet scouring the shop for it to find it.
