Agreed. Ditch the jaundice corner markers.

Very nice cars Ghislain! I love your wheels!!! Never saw your brother car in Montreal! :p The house in the background seems beautiful, very Vermont type. Also a very wide garage, you can fit a lift in there hilarious

The verdict's in...

We are close. His is bone stock mine has been lowered (it's 1 Inch lower) stiffened on suspension and the ECU has been reflashed. Our wheels are exactly the same size 235/35/19 and 305/30/19.
Mine rides like a go-cart and his is more comfortable.

With all those changes the 996TT is as fast as the stock 997TT. We are suppose to do an autocross next month so we will see on the track what it is. My bro's assessment after trying mine is more than likely with the stiffer suspension mine be a bit faster on the track but his is definitely more civil.

Mine was different last year but that's another story!

What???? You traded the Gallardo for a TT…Is it possible to know why? It was also a beautiful beast!

I had the same thought...

Thanks for asking and to the OP, thanks for answering.

Can you give us your comparison of the two cars?

The difference between the Gallardo and my TT.

I had a 2001 996TT before I got the Gallardo so I went from one directly to the other.
My current TT is very different than the 2001 TT. The one I currently have has had the ecu remapped and is lowered. The G has 100 more HPs than the stock TT so it's that much more powerful. My current TT is comparable in acceleration to the Gallaro my guess is my 2002 TT is close to 500hps.

At lower speeds the Lambo has more torque there is no waiting for the turbo to pressure up.

At higher speed there is a huge difference in handling. I have had the TT up to 188 mph and the car felt like it was going to take off like and airplane. Also over 100-110 mph the Porsche is very subject to wind buffeting the car not the Lambo. I had the Gallardo up to 198mph and that was rock solid so much that I was even able to take a picture with my Iphone at 190 on the way to top speed... See pic below.

Autocross wise I never tried the Lambo but my guess is it would be a bit faster. It's a smaller car, weight wise I don't think there is much of a difference but low end torque and longer first gear than the TT would help is my guess.

The TT is an awesome car and I have $90k in my pockets compared to having the Gallaro. In the end as soon as I am comfortable jamming that kind of dough in a car again I will get another Gallardo it is simply the best car I have ever owned. It is German engineering design (Audi has owned Lambo since 1998) with An Italian dress on top of it. But for under $50k a TT has no competitor.

The sound is also awesome in the Lambo there is a baffle system that makes 50% of the exhaust direct after 3500 rpm that is just sweet. I once passed a friend on the highway shifting at 7000 rpm and he said he saw flames from the exhaust in broad daylight... Just awesome.

I would of never even bought a Lambo if it wasn't for the Audi connection I have absolutely no love for Italian engineering...

Hope this explains my experience to a point.
