Which nj shops are better for maintenance polarporsche, protosport or provost
I need to button up the car for summer, basically install coils and plugs, maf, refresh fluids, and check for boost leaks and coolant leaks.
Normally on a Front engine car I would do this myself but having never worked on a 911, I would rather have a good EFFICIENT shop do it, plus I don't have a lift at home and all the time in the world to waste (I hear 4 hrs to change plugs). Proto is closest too me but have also heard good things from polar porsche and provomotorsport. My car is stock so I didn't consider those mega hp upgrade shops but if any are also local to me and also efficient in pricing I can consider. Your feedback is much appreciated. |

In meetings all morning... I'm a fan of Robbie (provost) and Garth (undercover). Undercover is in my neck of the woods yet people travel the distance. He also travels across the country upon request. You've probably seen his recent work:

Garth at Undercover is phenomenal, by now he and his team could work on our platform with their eyes closed. I trust these guys with most of the work on every car I've owned.
I've also used Polar Porsche and have nothing but great things to say about Yurii. He just did all fluids, plugs, and coil packs on my car for a fraction of what the dealer was charging, literally I would've paid this for parts alone at a dealer. The previous owner of my car also used Yurii and the car is in excellent shape, probably the best 996TT example I came across in my search. Both these shops are in South Jersey (near Cherry Hill). You may also want to check out Redline Speed Worx in CNJ, they have Porsche techs on staff and their new facility is bonkers. Better wait room than most dealerships. |
Thanks Marie, I saw the post and see the work undercover does....I figure they were bigger on major upgrades and builds and didnt want to get killed on regular work.
What did you get done at provost? Thanks again |
Another vote for Robbie, great dude who's been in Porsche world since birth plus he is super honest and has great service and prices.
Protosport charges more then most dealers plus half the time you can't even get a call back. KMD tuning is up in your neck of the woods and they do great work also. |

I'd def recommend Garth's shop too. Good guy down to earth and reasonable pricing. where in nnj are you? Not sure if I'd recommend redline from my past experience with them. Protosport does great work but def pricey and impossible to get ahold of them

+1 for Garth
