Getting PS10's Installed and Coolant Lines Pinned
 

Tomorrow I'm picking up my car that just got Bilstein PS10's and the coolant lines pinned. The installer has many years of experience setting up Porsches for the track but did not have a solid recommendation on the PS10 settings. He was quite confident on the height with the back being about 1.25" lower and the front being about 1" lower than stock. He also dialed in the alignment to be somewhere between the stock 996TT and GT2.

Does anyone have recommendations on the PS10 settings? I plan to go to the track about 4 days per year. Now it is set at 10 for the rear and 4 for the front.

I test drove the car and the PS10's really transform the car. The front end lift has been reduced about 90% with heavy acceleration.:)

With all due respect to your installer....if he had a lot of experience setting up Porsches for the track he'd know that the car needs to be corner balanced after the coil-overs are installed. The measured height of each corner isn't going to be nearly as important as the balanced weight of each corner (or as close as possible).

I just got off the phone with my installer and he does not have the equipment to do the corner balancing. He did mention that is really good to do if I get serious with tracking the car. Currently it will be driven about 98% on the street.

Later when I install the swaybars I plan to get the car corner balanced.

Got the car back a few days ago and have been trying several different settings for the PS10.
6 back, 4 front did very well around the twisty roads but is a bit too stiff for everyday driving. I then changed to 4 back, 2 front and this is perfect for everyday driving. At the track I will definitely stiffen it up some.

The PS10's are my favorite mod and completely changes the handling of the car.
The oem setup is like a touring suspension.
