Porsche's are like vacuum, they suck everything in :) same goes for inter-coolers, i found some but the funny part was on drivers side, cigarettes, someone was heavy smoker. so make sure you dont throw your cigars outside the window otherwise they will end up in on the intercooler.

so as far front radiators, It can mess up airflow and probably get rusty overtime- if you leave it in there, depends how bad it is, Mine was a little bit but when i took the plastic off, it was more probably 2-3 hand full pile of crap. I also fixed my front lip and found where front manual release was for the trunk and relocated.

i screened mine up with chicken wire cos i couldn't stand looking at all that sh*t every time. plus i think it impedes the rads ability to cool with all that stuff up in there, as we say.

the upside now is i keep my fronts free of debris while i am able to tool down the road singing country music with impunity, knowing i won't be hit by rotten tomatoes.

I think it was first owner of this car that left all the junk in there.

because I found same amount of crap in my air box on driver's side, so moral is, whenever you buy used 996 make sure to inspect intercoolers front radiators and take the air box out,...

Is it simple to take off the front bumper? Did you break any clips in the process or is it easy to do it without having any replacements on hand?

It is easy to take the bumper off. I can snap few pic and show which one to unscrew it. There are no clips well only 1 on both sides behind markers. You need to lift the front of the car and I would take front wheels off for easy job. I lift mine by using low profile Jack and stock Jack

That was one of the best services I did to my car.

Pics would be awesome - I need to do this and my indy wants a few hundred to do it for me. I'd rather do it on my own.

in all honesty, the stock rads will fail b4 the leaves really become a issue.

i think debris contributes to premature rad failure. but i'm guessing here. lots of stuff gets fused to the fins. that can't help.

Doesn't anybody else use an electric leaf blower to dry off their cars? I sit up front for about 5-10 extra minutes and hit the front from different angles.... its amazing all the **** that flys out....seasonally (in ny) we have tons of leaves in the fall, bugs in the summer, ive taken out some huge dragonflys from the bumper.

no removal needed.
