To sumi or not...

I ran them on my e39 m5 and 500hp 335. I liked them. Haven't on the porsche since it makes much more power. I need sticky tires now.
My understanding was always that the iii is a monumental improvement over the ii. Don't know for sure because I only ran the iii.
Pretty sure the iii comes in a 295/30.

Bottom line, they work well. They are quiet, sticky for the most part, and wear predictably. Not to mention, you can pick them up for $182/tire for the rears or $163/Tire on tirerack (plus shipping/tax etc)!!
EDIT: Are you in Oceanside or Orange County? If you are ever down in the SD area, give me a PM - I'd be happy to give you a ride if I'm home.

Thanks!!! I'm actually in Orange County. I'll give them a try; I should have the car all wrapped up before the end of the year.
I just put a new set of rear's on my TT. I had them on there before and drove the car several thousand miles with no issues. I do the occasional canyon run once or twice a month, but no track time on these tires.

wow. 182 for a 315/30 rear tire for the car. its really hard for me to believe they are adequate to even the power levels a mildly modded car puts down. please report your findings once you've really scrubbed em and GL with em!

Yea, seems crazy but I have not been really able to find any bad reviews!! 295 is indeed the widest though. Do you have 12" rears?

yeah, and i've long since given up on choices other than the michis as you probably know. i just ruined a nearly new one driving a week with a busted sway bar. i guess I'm just not as sensitive a guy as i'd like to think. lol. who knew!? but there it was... busted lol
i may actually break down and try the BF g-force one of these days. but i think i actually have more options since i'm not worried about the front diff/coupler any longer. but i'm still not bold enough for mixing tread patterns, but even that, i'm pretty sure i'd be ok. rwd does have some advantages
really would like to hear about the sumis and if we ever again get any rain??? that should be telling also!
