If I've gone to all of the trouble to get to the damned things I'm going to want to make sure as possible that things are solid. $150 worth of fittings compared to the pain of getting to it is a small price to pay honestly. I want those suckers solid in place and the hoses clamped good too so is probably replace a ton of them. Lots of while you're in there kinds of things to be done I fear

the kits are stainless and the housings are aluminum. ill stick to like metals. the fittings from the factory are fine just the glue that sucks. save the money and spend it elsewere

i replaced every rubber hose while i had the motor out. cost was minimal. once the motor is out the fittings and housings aren't hard to get to.

Not looking down on your method, but that sounds like a huge pain compared to just dropping the driveline and having full access...have some pics?

I started Friday night and worked a couple hours...mostly reading!! I drove her home Sunday evening. I had never touched a Porsche engine before...ever.
I could do it now in less than a day.

Did you consider waterfree coolant before the job?

BLKMGK for what it's worth I bought the kit when I had mine welded and my shop said return them and they welded the factory pieces in place. It was definitely worth it to me since when mine let go I was 2 hours from home and had been up for 19 hours. Don't waste the money for the kit and just have the ones from the factory welded in place.

Rick13 is an unknown quantity at this point
Removing the housings attached to the fittings can be done with the motor in place. Partial engine drop, your decision whether to weld or pin at that point. I am doing it right now.....and yes several of the lines were loose and could be pulled out with little force.
