Has anyone mirrored ProEfi on Nav screen

In the process of my build, the one thing I'm not thrilled with is putting the ProEfi screen on the Dashboard. I'm still trying to make the car steath. I've spend lots of time and money trying to conceal the sterio system using the Jl stealth box and so on. I have the kenwood Nav unit and would love to have ProEfi mirror onto it. Has this been done yet? Keep the unit in the center counsel or glove compartment

You might also want to ask on the FB ProEFI page, if anyone has done anything like that I'm sure they would respond and it's a larger audience of users.

Thanks I'll try that as well and if I figure it out I'll post pics

I'd be interested in the answer to this as well. If its not currently possible, maybe its something that can be developed

I know it's a can bus system but I doubt it's can bus at the monitor. Worse case I imagine find the video positive and negative and tap into it and convert to RCA

Yeah, was thinking about that. It's likely got a driver for the lcd, may not be a standard video signal anywhere.

Maybe I can email ProEfi and see if they could give me a PIN number for video output. I don't want to tap in if it's not possible

the lcd logger is also a datalogger via usb flash drive in the back. unlikely the stereo can mirror that.

Guageart is in process of releasing a unit to convert ProEfi monitor to VGA or RCA output to Nav screen

Well, there's no reason why another device can't read the data off of the CAN bus and output video over and above the datalogger. If the logger is in your glovebox it's also fully capable of logging, in fact it could be anywhere on the car and so long as it has access to the CAN bus it has access to the data it wants to log. Lots of CAN compatible devices ought to be able to read the bus and if they understand the datagrams ProEFI outputs can process them. Sounds like maybe these guys are doing just that? The fact that they read other EMS leads me to believe so - sign me up! I'll have an 8inch Alpine screen in the car in a week or two

P.S. Looks like this thing may ALSO be able to datalog - cool! VERY nice find Danny! Okay, that's not true. The SD card is used to swap out the various gauge designs. I also note that they seem to want to run a CAN cable to the ECU, not sure I want to do that but maybe? Overall I like the concept!

Well I find it really hard to see my H&S screen at high speeds in my diesel truck so before I even hook this ProEFI SCREEN up I wanted to find a fix for my problems and I'm scared of LASIK lol

Off topic: don't be afraid of LASIK. Did it the first year it was approved in the US. Took me from legally blind to just about 20:20. Previously I couldn't even see the eye chart...

I too am concerned about the screen mounting. Don't want wires everywhere and I'm not screwing anything down! Not sure looking over at the stereo screen would be much better though...

OP, this may be an option in late spring / early summer :

Looks promising with possibly a minor android tweaking with CAN Bus tap.

i would custom place it into the factory dash instead of the tach, since you can view the tach on it or set the whole thing to glow red when its time to shift. that way you can see it and its concealed and its somewhat usable.

side note - if you can look at that display and read something while you are WOT, your car isn't fast enough...
