My holes aren't as big as your's but I've been burning a good bit too. I've come to the conclusion that I can't take it with me! I like what you're doing and it's going to really be sweet, congrats! One piece of hard won advice, have it appraised when you're done and be sure the insurance matches expectations. Crappy to consider but it can save you a ton of heartache...

Ohh yes I completely agree.. I've already started my weight reduction program lol. I'm converting the car to RWD, Im installing the BBI exhaust pretty light, BBI headers, gt2 seats they're a big weight reduction comparing the stock seats, spare tire, door speakers, sub, rear seats, I'm running the hre c90 rims pretty light for a 3 pcs.. And still looking to lose some weight on the car . I am also aiming to hit 3000lbs ..

Oops just noticed I said 3000 pounds.
I was meaning to say.. low 3000 pounds lol.

Drooling from your pics!! (feeling kind of jealous!)

Can't wait to see the final build, and really interested on seeing how those tailights look on your ride.. (i'm also thinking about getting the same ones..)

you could hit the # you want the downside is it will be more track focused and less street friendly. complete carpet removal, no stereo , gutted doors etc. will get you the magical 3k #

I do t think I'm going that extreme with weight reduction.. I'd still like to keep the car looking like a street car if you know what I mean.

But I know it's not easy shedding the weight off the car.. There's so much you could do until it becomes non practical for a Daily driver..

I'll get the car weighted up as soon as it on the road..

Thanks brother..
Yea those tail lights are amazing and the quality is great. They must be seen in person to get a better idea, none of the pictures online are giving justice. Glass look clear in the pic when it really is smoked .

I paid close to 4K with logger GPS and a few other features. I think they're still in the same price range.. They only got released about 8 months ago. But you can get it cheaper without the features.

Okay here it goes. Went down to my body shop this morning and they started stripping the beast. They still need to take out the front and rear windshield. But it's in progress. Here are the pics..
Kinda sucks watching my car get stripped down and repaint when the paint was flawless.
hope you enjoy

Youre a brave soul. Not sure I could stomach all that discretionary body work. I sure wouldn't wanna watch lol. But I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Luckily my car is in good hands.. And the guys who are doing the work are seriously perfectionists.. It's funny how small the 996tt looks once it get stripped .Looked like a Go Kart in person
Hilarious .
