Hood won't open when warm on GT2
 

Any suggestions here would be great. My hood has trouble releasing when the motor is warmed up on my GT2. Once it cools off all is ok. Is there an adjustment I can make? Firing blanks here.

probably the frunk mechanism. same as boxter 986 part. when they get HOT they refuse to work as theyre failing. just went thru this. ebay used for 75 I think I pd?

Do you have a part number or link? Hope this is typical and easy to fix because it is ANNOYING!

I searched ecs when I was looking. weird I never saw it! cheap as I am? I'd buy it new for 65, but the 35 one I got works perfectly... again :rolleyes:

ya it's not a 'easy' listing, in the exterior>body section and scroll through...I also checked PET which makes it easy :)
mine work perfectly but have been thinking about preventatively replacing the sometime soon, I spend enough time working on cars, last thing I want is wasting time hacking around for the emergency release lol

hah! I still have the emergency catch half stuck and pulled up in my bumper where I can reach it! ;)

Seems like on the diagram there are 2 actuators...1 on either side. Am I reading it wrong?
