I got rear ended and the motor is coming out. Any preventative stuff I should do while the engine is out? I'm getting the cooling pipes done. What else should I do?

 

Who in NOVA is doing the work, just curious as I'm local too. There's a few threads on preventative maintenance when the engine comes out you might want to search for as they're pretty extensive. Water pipes for sure and lots of rubber along with the coolant tank as I recall are a good start!

 

Agree lots of threads on subject- water pump- coolant reservoir- check clutch the list is endless .

 

Proefi, turbos, rods, lifters, head studs, pistons, 4.0 block, clutch, meth, shafts, coil overs, lca bushings, and gt2rs intercoolers. That should do for now.

The work is being done by Spectrum Collision Center off 4 Mile Run. They do superb work.

I will add the water pump.

The only visible damage was to the bumper skin and exhaust. But a bunch of crap got cracked or broken underneath.

The list was easy compared to paying for all the stuff.

 

Good news at least it didn't get into the quarters.

 

Better replace the ECU Gunther... That is Karma for you! Sell bad parts and you end up on the receiving hand of bad luck!

I get it tomorrow or monday. She needs an alignment and a few other little details finished up. I'm super excited to get her back. She will be a new car maintenance wise. I have not had a chance to data log it after adding an intake and injectors. So I will need to update the tune. But Markski will make that the easiest part of this project.
