2004 996 GT2 value?

Friend's car and he's gonna sale soon.

Arctic silver on black. 43k on miles. Protomotive 575 tune by Todd himself. New 764 clutch. Upgraded sway bars and clutch linkage. Toyos on stock twists. Front bumper respray.

Overall nice car! Thoughts? Thanks!!

rob, was just gonna look up the last gt2 $ thread to tell you i just saw one out here near me at a specialty car place. 28k miles asking 169k.

i never thought i would suggest even half jokingly to a fellow pcar brethren,.. dont drive it! park it next to 1148's car and they will both creep up in value. your more quickly lol

lol Mark...I'll put it this way, I'm driving mine unless someone slides $300k CAN. my way ;)
It's great to make ROI, but when you can't buy what you love to drive for less...have you created value?...
Cheers,
Rob

A 996 gt2? Those are worth 2.5 million now I think.

as probably known, I'm one of the youngest guys here, but even I'm not interested in the new Porsche's, it's all about the feedback/feel....the old GT2 was 'quicker' around the track then all the latest modern supercars that showed up last time out, and I used a clutch, shifter, and without stability control/TC/nannies! hilarious
If I ever do sell, it'll be for a LARGE margin over a 930 or 996TT purchase with many track mods...the difference in parts/feel btw a GT2 and TT is big

thats why i keep suggesting rob puts his away and somehow forgets he owns one for five years lol...and discovers he's actually made money on a used car! once he wakes up and lifts off its blanket! lol!

theres NO hope for my 'ol commonplace 96t but randy has a shot as long as they still have winters in PA! thats my problem! is that driving season is 12 months long!

Biggest value 'points' for a GT2, #1, no 'real' accident damage/general condition(there are some nasty low mile cars, and some pristine high mile cars..), #2, bigger modifications ,,,,#3,mileage
Thanks for the share, added to my records :)

Yup, I agree totally. Same situation with TT as well. I have seen some low mile cars that look like they have been through hell and back. Overall condition and maintainance is king!... for me at least :)
