TPI Ignition coils???

Has anyone heard/used the TPI ignition coil that is available for our cars? Bosch and Beru are out of stock at most places and Pelicanparts sells TPI part number CLS1214 for our cars as do a couple of other reputable places.

Thoughts?

I'm in Canada. Couple of local places have the Bosch and beru in stock at 3 times the price they are in the States.

I will most likely just wait until places like ECS tuning have it in stock since the car is parked for winter anyway. Just thought I'd ask about TPi since I didn't know they existed and they are American.

Yeah, I just feel there are certain things that you want to go with a proven brand on. Id wait too..

PS - Good to see another FD (LSX no less) owner in a 996TT.

I was going to suggest ECS, I just got my 6 new Bosch packs yesterday from them (must have been the last few they had left). I agree with su_maverick on this one, I think coil packs are too important to chance.

Agreed! I like the fact that another company is offering what looks to be a quality product but Id like them to be "time tested" before I try them.

Thanks! I love the FD. Last dyno was almost 700 ft/lbs of torque to the wheels. Next season I will be moving from a 125 Nitrous shot to 175. Im actually calling Nitrous Express today to talk about next years set-up.

Very cool. Mine was a lot more tame, but then again, it was about 7-8 years ago that I did the swap on it. A lot less plug-n-play back then.
