On a normal Sachs 2.5 clutch (764 PP setup, DMFW, unsprung disk) there is no need to change the guide tube, the OEM turbo guide tube is fine, correct?
correct

Not sure if there is a spring disc available. Did not see one in the SACHS catalog.
With the Sachs clutch it should not be releasing high. The only clutch I had that released high was the clutch masters.

acs370 is on a distinguished road
Anyone know the throwout bearing part no. which is compatible with 4.0RS disc?
or is it 94411608001?
I already have this Sachs 313151000464 T/O bearing already from 2.5 kit, so it's not compatible?
Can someone confirm all I need is Aasco FW, Sachs 764 PP 4.0GT3RS disc and this T/O bearing as mentioned?
Thanks

Get the OEM 964RS LWFW and combine it with the OEM 4.0 GT3RS sprung clutch disc. It's a very quiet combo. If you want the lightest FW possible, get the OEM 996Cup version. It's the same as the 964RS one except they machined a little more material from it. The chatter is barely audible due to the spring design of the 4.0 disc. Engagement is perfect, smooth and right in the middle of pedal travel. It's all factory stuff. No guesswork, no headaches..
Any chance you have PNs for these incl guide tube? Thank you.

Those will not work. Those are the regular GT3 dual mass flywheel PP bolts which are ~5mm too short. Can't even start the bolts. Go to the knowledge thread page 5 for the LWFW conversion. It has an accurate updated parts list.

I noticed the DM flywheel comes with a bolt plate likely to better distribute the bolt load as well as protect the flywheel mounting surface from the bolt head. See attached. SM flywheel has no such feature. No worries? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance. sorry for the cross post

I would love to upgrade to a lwfw with the Sachs PP and the 997GT3 RS 4.0 disc, but.....i am worried about the possible noise. I hear it from everywhere that a lwfw in a 996 tt is super noisy and a pita.
@pwdrhound: you got a modified gear box, so probably its different in you car.
I would love to hear from someone with stock gearbox, that the combo above is not a rattle queen and instead kind of quite, compared to the usual lwfw sound massacre.

BTW, the GT3 RS 4.0 disc can hold how much Nm?

You can definitely hear it. But, given the large improvements it is worth dealing with. Honestly the TT in stock form is a pretty soft cush ride for a sports car. That I think makes people have some pretty unrealistic expectations for our cars. Yes you will hear it. Yes, it is a huge improvement when paired with the right clutch. No, our car is not a cushy BMW or Cadillac.
