BBS One piece magnesium wheels as supplied by Manthey Racing are 7.2 and 7.8kg for 9x18 and 11x8 (the biggest sizes they do), which equates to 15.8 and 17.2lbs. Cost is circa $10,000 per set.

The lightest set in the world will soon be these wheels, which are carbon rim, magnesium centre and weigh about 13 and 14lbs respectively.

They are more expensive than the Manthey Wheels.........

Do you have any close ups? Especially of the back side and then also the spokes themselves? I would guess they are...

Ah you ran into Roger eh? One fast S600...

Sandy:
Get the BBS. I just got them from Alex @ SHARKWERKS. Alex just weighed them: 19lbs (front) and 20lbs (rear). Running 18X8.5 (F) and 18X12 (R). I got the Aluminum ones for durability w/ black centers.

BTW, I'll be in Vegas this weekend. Will call ya.

I'll take some pix of the wheels when the tires are mounted. What's really cool and that you can't see is the "machining" they did on the centers to cut the weight out. The spokes on the inside and behind have had "chunks" removed and then on the back side there are a bunch of holes. Very cool and now I'm starting to see why they're as light as they are. I love the MAGs but with these being 1/2 pound lighter there's no reason to go with MAGs anymore. The other difference is that with the MAGs you end up having to use studs (ok by me) instead of lug nuts/bolts as the Magnesium is much much thicker. It has to be...

Awesome!
What is the deal with that car? Those look like GT3 RSR Mag centerlock wheels. How did he manage that? RSR hubs and uprights?

Just a suggestion. How about the HRE Competition series? C20's in particular?
