K16 install

That dyno chart is flawless. Nice job yeah as you can see your toque is around 180hp from 3k to 4krpm which saves your rods plus he didnt let it all at once. Great AFR's too. Why isnt he on the boards here???

Kevin's on Rennlist. He's a real good dude. Doesn't try to squeeze out the last couple of Hp for the sake of safety. He's very conservative.

Boost is 1.25 bar running 100 cell HJS Motorsport cats and stock MAF which is scaled about 10% over it's limit. Power is essentially capped by the MAF.

Yeah, boost isn't the issue cylinder pressure is and high torque is an indication of it. Maybe pull some timing to soften it up, might even speed spool?
I'm in VA as well and so long as we can pick a central point and get a few peeps together I might be down. Can't wait to get my car back lol!

I would be up for this but I'm headed to Colorado for some snowboarding!

Meaning how much torque occurs in a 1k rpm range to much torque will bend a rod. As shown from the OP he will bend his rods with that tune.
Pdwrhound will not bend a rod because his torque is not instant and its lower in a 1k rpm span.

You've got me worried about bending rods now.
On my stock engine I have K16 billets, 60# injectors, 1.25 bar Markski tune, 93 octane, IPD plenum, upgraded intercoolers, etc. The tune has been tweaked to my car with multiple durametric data logs. I only take my 996T to the track 3 or 4 days a year max.
Now I just modulate the throttle and do not floor it until I am about 3500 rpm.
Should I be more conservative and wait for WOT until 4000 rpm?
Thanks

No you dont need to worry markski knows what he is doing.
If you look at the first post at tge OP dyno chart this is what you do not want to see on a k16g. 650hp torque. The lines are dipping and not steady which means knock is happening and timing pulled. Installing a 5bar and not retuning and running 1.3bar on stock injectors. Also the instant torque is way to high.
I do wait to floor mine around 4k rpm in a higher gear it puts less stress on the rods.
