Rough Idle Issue

There seems to be a wealth of technical knowledge on this forum, im looking to bounce some ideas off you! Thanks in advance.

I just replaced my coils and plugs due to a bad misfire. Upon pulling my plugs I found all of the plugs on bank 2 fouled. Once replaced, the car ran great, for the first 30 minutes. Now it has a rough idle. I suspect the plugs are fouled again.

A few days before replacing my plugs I replaced my bank 2 pre cat o2 sensor as it triggered a CEL, P0056, P0161, P0160. Also on were codes for the secondary air injection, bank 1 and 2.

I confirmed today that the o2 codes are still on... The car seems to idle better with the o2 sensor disconnected.
For me all signs are pointing towards an issue with the chassis side o2 wiring.

Some questions for you folks;
  • Has anyone encountered a similar issue with the o2 signal/wiring? Thoughts on tracking this down?
  • Are the air pump code likely related? Im assuming not. Boost leak test to come.
  • Have I over looked anything? Any other items I should look at first?

Boost leak test before anything else. Also check for leaks on the intake to your turbos. My airbox clamp to the intake piping was loose and I was getting unmetered air causing rough idle. Check your Maf too.

Are you pulling codes with a Durametric? If so, what does the A/F look like on that bank and how much correction is being commanded? Are you SURE you got the right O2 sensor?

if 02 Sensors are old ore contaminated your car will run better without O2 sensors (with oil at the connector you got rich airmix situation) but your sensor is new!

check it with durametric...

check if not before and after cat interchanged?

I do not currently have access to a Durametric. I've been using generic borrowed code readers as I haven't had time to try to make my Tatrixs work.

I can compare voltages between the different bank sensors and report back.

PN ia laser etched into the sensor body and matched the number on the sensor that was removed. I suppose it's possible that I got a bad sensor.
