Hey guys, work has kept me busy, so I didn't get to play with the car much...BUT I had the engine/trans out a couple weeks ago, in order to fix a leaky tranny seal. At the same time, I ended up sending the torque converter back to John at IPT to increase the stall speed.

Once I reinstalled the engine/trans, I musty have inadvertently "fixed" an issue, because we got it back on the dyno, and the power curve smoothed out drastically in the mid range, gained about 10 peak rwhp, and overall, the car ran better. At this point, it was 690rwhp at 23psi.

We upped the boost to 25 psi, revised a few things on the map and it responded well. 725rwhp and 770 rwtq at 25 psi, 91 octane, with some meth. Driving the car on the street, it's much more responsive, boost kicks in a couple hundred rpm sooner, and that makes a huge difference, especially coupled with the new torque converter. Unfortunately, the tracks are all closed now around here, so I can only test it out in spring
Here's a dyno graph shot though.

Just want to add, the red dotted line is the last dyno chart before the engine pull. Note the power dropping off and coming back up at around 5500. Green is current.

Does anyone know what occurs at 6000rpm? timing advances and power goes up again.

Thanks!
Yes, it's automatic. The IPT did the trans, tc and valve body. John is a great guy, and does amazing work.

This is rear wheel drive. There's more power loss to the wheels on a tip car... but since it's rwd, I'm guessing the numbers can be compared to an awd 6 speed car.

I have rods. Problem is that the tcu controls the shift points, and mine has an evoms tcu that shifts at 7k. stock is 6800. 7500rpm would do wonders though!

yeah but even at 7000rpm the transmission oil in the tipronic starts to burn , would would need a transmission cooler to help with it . 700 whp is a lot men , its just about what big 3.8 builds on gtx35 do . My only question and concern is that , tiptronic and rwd is a dissaster waiting to happen .You need a lsd but there arent many around for tiptronic if not none

Great numbers! A few questions...

What is your fuel system setup?

What kind of fuel?

Who tuned the car?

I'll be working on an additional oil cooler for next summer. As for the it being a disaster waiting to happen, I don't know...I mean, for sure there are HUGE benefits to running an LSD, but even at 680rwhp, with my drag radials, there was virtually no wheel spin, and even with my street tires, once rolling, never had wheels spin in rwd mode. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for an LSD, if one becomes available.

Thanks! I am definitely going with an SRM fuel system in the future, but for now all I have is a walbro 450 with bigger fuel line to the stock rails with aeromotive filter.

Running 91 octabne with meth for the tune, but I'll be using 94 whenever I'm a round a Petro Canada.

The tuner is Brady@Dynodoc, who is part of our team at my shop, in Montreal.

Yessir, the guys over at SRM set me up with 12mm headstuds, cometic head gaskets as well as the turbos/intercoolers. Definitely your one-stop shop for no frills go-fast goodies for these cars.

The only mod besides a proper fuel system is gonna be an SRM plenum with bigger TB and 3" Y pipe. Currently running a stock Y pipe with stock TB and IPD plenum.
