Yes but, the little drop of Pentosin will look different, once on the floor, after licking, on her way down, the s**t on the gearbox casing. (excuse my french ;-)

LOL!!!

Pretty sure it's engine oil but I'll bring it to the shop later this month. Whatever it is, I need it fixed

So, it turned out to be the rear axle seals. Relatively cheap fix

nice! never heard of axles leaking(?), but it beats the alternatives!

Yea, I believe it's the axle shaft seals and there are two of them for the rear. $27/each orso.

That explains why it was mainly dripping when the engine was hot; oil is much thicker than engine oil when cold.

All fixed in the meantime! About $300; mainly labor.

Also had the fluid in the front diff and transmission changed. And oil+filter while it was on the lift. All ready to roll again
