Mpsuk will become famous soon enough
Hello everyone

Hi to all. I used to be a regular on here around 5 years ago but due to having 2 kids and a few business ventures I haven’t had time to do much. My 996 turbo got lots of mods5 years ago and while the engine was out we got the unexpected news we were pregnant 😃. Well, in those 5 years the car has done less than 1000 miles. I got back into motorcycles and have a few heavily modified bikes and now winter is here in the uk I decided to take the car to a specialist for a once over and to repair a manifold gasket blow. Hope everyone on here is doing well and look forward to getting re-addicted to my car

Better alternatives to tial 3076? What about coil overs for just road use? I’ve got lots of reading to do. First thing is finding a good tune

Ok, it’s been a while but I’ll try and remember everything, so, Porsche 996 turbo 2001my. Agency power air intake, SpeedTech 3” piping to turbos, tial a28/60 turbos, forge silicone hoses, agency power 3.5” intercoolers, 60lb tc injectors, bbe 3” Exhaust with hjs 100 cel cats and clutchmasters stage 3 carbon ceramic clutch mated to new oem flywheel. I think that’s all on the power side. Got used to fast bikes now so the car feels a little tame. My fastest bike as yet is a ninja h2 with a whole host of mods running 285whp on pump. Standard length bike so very difficult to control, even with my weight 150mph roll ons can and do easily result in massive loss of traction.

Sam,

Thank you!!! Yeah new world here. Will do on the mod list. Mpsuk, not that I am the expert by any means but from what I have seen by logging, you need 4.5" intercoolers (hardly any temp increase from ambient after multiple runs) and bigger injectors, Let Sam tune for 1000cc injectors and make a reliable 600 + horsepower on pump. And I know that pump in the UK is certainly better than the garbage 91 Octane we get in California.

You can get away with a lot more on euro 98 then even our 93 octane,
but I would stay under 1.35 bar if you want to keep the rods safe and most likely 10 deg timing at 4K... 28s are the rod benders.. Thus, with some data logging and retuning its all very possible, also you need to do the dreaded pressure test make sure your car doesn't lean out from a popped off vacuum leak... a must IMHO,
markski
