996tt boost gauge

I’m currently having my 2003 996tt x50 dyno tuned and the tuner mentioned that the stock boost gauge that is in the dash only will read up to 1.4 bar, because when the car is hooked up to the computer on the dyno it is reading 1.55 bar while the stock boost gauge will still only read 1.4 bar. Does anyone know is this can be recalibrated or fixed to match above 1.4 bar?

thank you.

s65e90 is infamous around these parts
Put an aftermarket gauge in. The stock one is junk and just ECU based reference.

I beleive Cobb makes an upgraded MAP sensor... not sure if it works on our cars. I've never fully looked into it. Probably worth a phone call though... Sambo probably knows right off the top of his head.

*Edit: I just double checked and it doesn't look like it's out yet... you may want to verify on your own

Hey guys. Factory can read up to 1.56 and you should be able to see one 25 on the factory unit. It is in fact a simulated measurement of manifold absolute pressure and digital on top of that so if you really want to know you can data log pre-throttle pressure which is an analog reading if you will or just run a gauge. Hope that helps
