so have the car in shop again gears Are swapped but I’m getting some hesitant driving at freeway speeds while slightly decelerating and it’s a little herky jerky when taking off from a stand still.
One thing at a time but 1st thing car is:
throwing p1411 and 0410 of course
so my mechanic is trying to track down a electrical gremlin in the circuit that runs the pump.
He told me that people in the past have been trying to find this problem cause it’s been poked and prodded all over. Anyway the pump is running constantly. You can pull the fuse/ relay and still it runs. It runs off the power and ground wires.
He showed me this last night. Very freaky.
We were thinking delete it all together and reflash (I don’t have emissions in my county)
or hes gonna play around to see if he can rewire directly from the ecu and reground
can someone connect me with a tuner that retunes to ROW emissions and knows what to block off and where to purchase the parts
i just wanna bag it instead of chasing down a weird *** problem while flushing more money down the toilet
thabks Michael Holland for the great deal. Too notch human being.

Let me know buddy I’ll send you a map to turn it off at least so you can see if the secondary air stops. But it sounds like some serious Looney Tunes worked on the car before. We will get through it standing by whatever you need pal.
sure you're unplugging the correct relay? what is happening kinda isn't possible if the factory wiring/relays/etc are there (actually just repaired a non-functioning SAI on a 996, dead relay..) ..... unless a separate new harness was made and the relay used is bad/wired wrong and sticking on
If you have Durametric or PIWIS, can you switch on and off the SAI with software?

I definitely was able to turn it on and off with my durametric or it seemed that way. But there is definitely juice when you test the red power and the ground going to it. Explanation? Weird.not sure but I can tell there has been a lot of monkeyin around with that system like someone was trying to figure it out but couldn't.
Someone has been pushing a lot of test points into wires in the area?????

The POWER (red) wire the the SAI pump is wired to the battery directly. No fuse. It will be hot all the time.
The SAI fuse is in the switched ground wire, it's on the rear relay rack. It's the huge 40A fuse. The SAI relay is also in the rear relay rack.
The ECU commands the SAI relay on, which switches ground to the brown/black wire at the SAI pump.
If you probe the wires at the SAI pump with the SAI pump connected and OFF you should find 12V at both wires. If you probe with the SAI unplugged you'll find 12V on the red wire and open circuit on the brown/black, could be any voltage as the wire is floating.
If you unplug the SAI relay or the 40A maxi fuse and the pump runs with the key on there is something REALLY WRONG with the wiring.
