Odessey PC925 battery?
I've ready many posts, not clear how well this battery works in the 996TT. Can anyone vouch for reliability and starting power with this battery?
I get in some track time, so I'd like to save the weight, but I don't want problems the remainder of the year. Thanks! |
I have an Odyssey "Extreme" model - it's really big. It has worked flawlessly for the last 7 years or so, but I do plug in when the car is home just to make sure.

I would recommend the Voltphreaks VPH1200. At 8lbs it’s substantially lighter and more powerful with an auto cutoff which prevent you from getting stranded.

I've been using one as well for a few years, no issues but I also keep it on a tender when not driving.

Thanks guys, you've got me on some research now...I've also found some possible alternatives, likely because the Lithium batteries are relatively new. It appears that ~30aH and ~1200 cranking amps, and smart controls are the key criteria for us.
-Antigravity 30aH on RS-30 $649 Amazon 11.5 lbs 1200 CCA Rennline advertised. -EarthX ETX1200 $725 retail 25AH 1200A cranking power. 6.9 lbs No references. 2 year full warranty. I'm trying to justify the cost :) A good quality basic tech battery is ~$200 and ~50#. |
