Anyone familiar with this E brake part?

It is very loose and I'm trying to find what is clicking when I drive. A pronounced snap or like 2 ball bearings hitting each. I just had the wheel bearing replaced not long ago. But I noticed this part is very loose and bounces around and makes a good racket. I also found this little ball bearing sitting on the floor after I put everything back together. Idea on where from?

do both parking brakes work? if adjusted correctly and no broken cables it looks like it should be fine...
no idea about that ballbearing, don't think it's anywhere from a 996...

If I correctly recal the cable has a ball on the end to engage the E brake lever in the hub. Check to make sure both pads engage.

Correction to my previous post. Not from the cable. Too small for a wheel bearing.
