External wastegate headers w/EBC vaccum line routing. Help!
I have installed a set of external wastegate headers attached with tial 44mm wastegates. Wondering what the proper way to hookup the vaccum lines. I have a good Idea but want to reconfirm this is correct.
Ive hooked up the top port of the tial wastegate to the existing line that connect straight to the COM port on the electronic boost controller’s solonoid valve. (This line was connected to my internal 1bar wastegate).
the side ports of the tial are CROSS connected to the NC port on the Electronic boost controller’s solonoid valve and Y-Pipe. Do these tial side ports need to be closer to the turbos or will they work fine routed to the Y-pipe? I do not have a dedicated fitting mounted on the k24/18g turbo housing for side ports.
NO line on the electronic boost controllers solonoid valve remains open.
Anyone with experience in this setup please chime in. Would love to get clarity and have my car dialed in.
Its very hard to get the n75 to work the external gates right. bottom port of gate goes to wye pipe no valve in between. If you do not put boost psi directly to the bottom of the gate it will not open and you will over boost!!! run a quality boost controller like hks offers.
Yea I'd ditch the n75 once running external gates and get a proper boost controller. That being said, I have one end of my n75 just left open to the atmosphere as it was the only way to get mine to work right with running a single HKS BOV.
