Some of you might remember my 2000 guards red SC'd Cab, if you don't, here is the link from when I was selling it:

Loved the car, and sold it because the family was upgrading the homestead, and wasn't sure where my finances would be. Well, it didn't take very long for the Porsche bug to attack, and 3 months later, Kevin M. and I started looking for Turbo's for me. Ended up finding a "CPO" 2001 basalt black with grey interior, full carbon (except lower rear console), Nav, K40 with laser diffuser, supple leather. 29k miles on it, and picked it up for $66k!! It took 5 weeks to get the car here from Downers Grove, ILL. I about lost my mind waiting for the damned thing!!! Bought it around Dec. 15th, and because of the holidays, finding an enclosed truck for less than 2 grand was nearly impossible.
Now, the 2000 996 cab was my first Porsche...and it was fast! I SC'd it, and it was really fast...especially in 4th gear and up.
But Damn!!! The Turbo is just SICK!!! I love everything about that car! I've been watching and reading the boards for years now, hearing all the accolades about the Turbo. Well, all I can say is, I am proud to represent!!! And it is everything you guys said and more.
While I impatiently waited for 5 weeks for the car to arrive, I started the mod process. Here is my list of mods, some installed, some waiting to be installed:

1) Techart GTS front bumper and side skirts-painted and installed
2) Misha wing-BEST GUY, BEST WING...PERIOD!!! IMO
3) Techart Formula 19's...silver
4) Europipe stage 2 (loud)- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!! SOUNDS SWEEEEET!!!!
5) Dual exhaust tips
6) Red instrument faces
7) Black mats, with turbo lettering in red
8) Red seat belts...not installed yet
9) Grey alcantra shifter boot w/red stitching...not installed yet
10) Gemballa/H&R coilovers...not installed yet
11) Aluminum pedals and dead plate
12) 35% window tint all the way around, 50% front window...Absolutely a must!!! Window tint did wonders for the car!!!
13) EVO V-Flow...not installed yet
14) EVO diverter valves...not installed yet

All of this took another 6 weeks to get prep'd, and installed. I did most everything myself, except the painting of course, and I had the help of my bro, Kevin M., when he could spare some of his valuable time...Thanks Kev!! Half of the fun with these cars, as with my 2000 cab, was mod'ing it, and doing the work myself. Thank God for this valuable forum, and also for Renntech, to provide the knowlege and insight from a lot of very capable people. Some of us are very fortunate to have that insight from good people like you all...So thanks to all 6speeder's, and renntech alike.

It is almost night and day different of a car than my cab. So much more solid and powerful...I live for those turbos kik'n in, what a rush!!! I have heard so much about the power upgrades, and I am quite sure that I will eventually dive into that...but for now, this car has PLENTY of power for a novice Turbo owner.

Of course, as always, I appreciate your input. I will post more pics when I get the red seat belts installed. I was shooting for just a touch of red inside the car, just to give it a little character, or pop, if you will. With the red calipers, from the outside looking in, I thought it would be really nice to have the black w/grey, and just a touch of red inside. I know it may not appeal to some, but those who have seen it in person, have REALLY liked it.
