Question Where rims and tires sizes do all you guys that have 19" wheels?

Sorry about the typos in the title, what size tires and wheels do you guys run in terms of 19" inch wheels (I'm speaking about aftermarket wheels)? 19x9 front with 245/35/19 tires? 19x12 rear with 335/25/19 tires? How wide can I go in terms of rims and tires (in terms of 19" inch wheels) with the car being lowered

I would be careful about using a 12 inch rim with a 315 tire size in the rear. You will not have the protection from the tire for the outer lip of the rim due to the 315 tire size. An 11.5 rim will have the outer lip protection with the 315 tire size. Please correct me if I am wrong.

well i have it foe 2 years .. tried different tires.... and found that yokohama avs run thin.... but then the conti sports fit well...
I need 18s cause I will have tracking issues when I get my car back and they dont make sticky tires (drag radials)for the 19s...

PS2s 235/35 on 8.5J 42mm offset and 315/25 on11J with 30mm offset.

This will be a very aggressive offset.....with some fender prep for very low suspension.
'Rubbing issues' are more a function of offset, ride height, and how stiff your suspension is....rather than simply tire size.

100% correct. My 315 Yokos were about 1/2-1" thinner than the 315 Contis (and I would assume Pilot Sport 2s).

I'm hearing (reading) Pirelli, Yokos, Contis...are these the main tires you guys use on 19" rims? I'm about to get my Vellanos 19X8.5 and 19X11...so which tires have you guys found out to the be the best on 19" rims?

best bet is Conti for the cost & Michelin PS2 for the performance. Yoko 315 is not DOT approved therefore very hard to come by. Pirelli is in the PS2 price range so might as well just go for the PS2.

Arling,

Would you run 305/25/19 on a 19X11 rear wheel and if so, what tires would you use then? Thanks!
