Angry Specks of tar!!! All over my car..damnit

I'm washing her today and there are tiny black specks stuck in the paint everywhere!. Its worse in the rear. Any suggestions to get this stuff off without scratching or hurting the paint? I have a variety of car car stuff from Griot's, but a little afraid to scratch..SOB!

thanks

I have used it a couple of times and it has never damaged my paint. If it will please let the pro detailers explain why.

Use a real solvent(http://www.premiumautocare.com/tar-removal.html) and don't rub...let the solvent disolve the tar. It will also remove the wax, but that's easy to reapply.

3M makes a good tar remover as do a few detailing companies.

exactly what I was about to recommend the Poor Boys stuff, I had to use this stuff on a S500 that got stuck behind a tar trailer that hit a big bump and threw tar all over the car. Worked great!

Many manufacturers make good products for this, i've had great success w/ megs body solvent as well.

I think the commercial tar cleaners are mostly kerosene.
