Unhappy Argh..... Sellers remorse

Hey All,

I put my tt cab for sale on consignment at a local high-line used car dealer and the car sold in 5 DAYS..... F*&% I guess part of me wished it would never sell... The good news, is it sold for 114800.00 I owed 111k and thought I would for sure have to pay to sell but, it was a nice surprise to get some money out...

Here is a link to my sold ad, must say the dealer did a nice job with the pix. I don't think she looked that good in my garage....

http://formula-1-sport-cars.ebizauto...o-Convertible/

I sold as-is with my mods and could you believe the Focker who bought it wants to put it all back to stock.....

I have driven many different cars in the past week looking for the replacement. Honestly nothing has caught my attention yet... I think the new GT3 is going to be for me.... This week I am going to stop by my local dealer and put myself in line....

noticed that as well

why would the buyer wanna put it all back to stock? Assuming that would cost him money (parts/labor), wouldn't it be cheaper if he had just bought a stock car in teh first place?

The DTM I beleive they are asking 300k and the Shelby in the back left corner is going for 225K.

Little Johnny,

I wish the whole return to stock thing made more since to me too... The purchaser is an older guy (late 60's) traded a red 04 tt coupe with 6k miles in for a 04 tt cab with 14k miles (because he wanted a cab) he had the dealer swap parts from the two. I offered to keep my wheels and & exhaust and locate stock ones for him but, he declined.... oh well

Beautiful car. I don't understand the "return to stock" issue. The only "mod" I see that you can't order OEM is the wheels? The rest is factory option so I guess he's just changing the wheels?

Twinstep,

PSS9's
Fabspeed Exhaust
Wheels
B & M SSK
ECU flashed by Orton (I don't have a clue how he will get this flashed back to stock)
LLoyd's mats (I gave him the original ones with the car)...

It's gonna cost him a small fortune to go back to stock. You probably would have been better putting it back yourself and selling all the used parts, still making out ahead.

Gotcha. I wondered after I'd posted if it had internal mods. Thanks!

You will love your decision to go to a GT3. Once your in a GT car its hard to go back. As good as a turbo is and its a mighty fine car (made the same move myself)
the GT3 is just a kick in the pants. The 997 GT3 should be no less so.
