What's the best 60' time you've seen in an AWD 996TT?

With Bahrain996TT's latest acheivement in his GT2 RWD car, the age old question of 996TT "launchability" has seemed to surface again. What's the lowest 60' time you've seen in your (or someone else's) 996TT in AWD configuration? Mine was 1.81 on Conti SC2 street tires when my car was a Stage 4.

I personally cut a 1.79 60ft on 19" Yokohama AVS sports (315/25/19) with full tire pressure (about 46psi). At 25psi, I am sure that the result would have been slightly better given the track conditions (or at least more consistent). ;)

6-spd tranny

I did a 1.601 on street tires. When I tried drag radials I launched soft the first time but the tranny went bye bye. I'm thinking I may have been able to hit the 1.5s at least.

Thanks. :) Damn those tiptronics and their easy ability to build boost off the line. ;)

I personally did a 1.74 60ft on 19" Yokohama AVS sports (315/25/19) on a 6 speed.

That's about the best I've seen (especially on 19's) Whenever I 1.8'ed I was super happy.
Here's an old slip I dug up from the Stage 4 days.

I see that your 1.74 and my 1.79 were both done on the 19" Yokos. I guess they really do hook up well after all, huh? :)

I concur and its seems like any stage 4 with k24s will run 11.7 average.... assuming u get a 1.7 60ft. My average was 11.7 and my mph ranged from 122 to 125 mph.

I did 1.791 in my totally bone stock TT.

Divexxtreme May 1, 2006 05:22 AM

Every person in this thread but one has posted a quicker 60' time with their AWD TT's on street tires than I have with my RWD TT and drag radials. Good job, guys.:D
