ANyone here buying a Carrera GT??
There got to be at least a few!
I think Mike Valentine said he has one on order. I don't know if anyone else does. :)
There are a few 6 speeders getting them.
Mike Valentine ("WM8V" I think is his tag) and "Ben, li," are two that I know of.
The radar guy? nics, is that the guy in the valentine one ad?
I've been mulling over putting my name next to a CGT, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Been offered an allocation for the end of the run in 2006.
would be thrilled to see you get one kurt! think of all the p-car consolidation you could achieve :-)
You know, Ben, maybe I could help justify the price tag if I just bought a CGT for my daily driver, and got rid of a bunch of cars!
It would be nice to just drive it and not worry about it. To the grocery store, to the gym, to the bank, to work, to play golf, etc. Just use it up and spit it out. 15,000 miles per year! Get rid of it when the warranty is about to expire! |
Offered a 06 allocation as well.
lol kurt, there is no "justification" hilarious
Go buy dupont magazine! Several exotic car dealership has at least 1 or 2 will take delivery in early may!
I had an order on one and then they called and wanted a $50,000.00 deposit and at the time did not have the final price. I said "Nah".
hilarious |
My father also talked with a dealer who wanted $50,000 deposit in an interest bearing account with the rest due upon delivery. He mulled over it for a few weeks and when he went back to the dealer they changed their story and wanted some rediculous price with a 2005/6 delivery date!

I have two friends who are getting them. To be honest, I really liked what I saw when I saw the car in person, but I am worried they are making too many, for too much $$, and that the styling, while it looks great now, may not end up being as timeless as I had hoped. I just think if you wait you might be able to save a lot of $$ and pick-up a low milage one... Remember the GT2? Ouch, I do.
I say wait a few years, then buy one cheaper and keep it forever |
