Sacramento is a notoriously "fast" track with questionable timing equipment - especially trap speed.

Yep, with identical mods, the 997 motor will always make more power than a 996; better breathing factory heads and cams, better fuel system, and lower compression (9.0:1 vs 9.4:1).

I logged 5 Vbox runs at both Sacramento and Infineon, Sacramento was almost exactly 3.5 mph fast on every single run. The Vbox showed 1.0 faster than the slip at Infineon and 2.5 mph slower at Sacramento. The ET's were identical at both tracks, which was most important to me. I'm also sure anyone that has gone to Infineon Raceway can't dispute the accuracy or their equipment.

It's all good anyways, a lot of people take this track thing way to serious and at times it's almost humorous. I just love running my car down the 1/4 mile and posting the results, whether or not people beleive the time slips or not....who really cares.

I just wanted to post my times in hopes of getting more of my fellow E55 members to do the same. As I know there is no way my car could ever compare to some of the monsters on this site.

Good attitude, bro. Rep for you.

P.S. - Here's the graph of your 8.40 run. Nice job!

Thanks Drew.

I hit the Sac up the other night and had some fun. No 10's that night, but I did manage a best of 11.022, 11.033, 11.095, and a few other crappy runs. All though the weather cooled down a bit toward night my handheld weather station had DA from 1800-1200, which isn't too bad but the air quality was very poor. My 60' time were about .05 off from the norm and I'm not sure if that's due to the heat or just needing new Hoosiers. This run was also done with just DR's and not with my full drag setup, that will come out during winter....

Wow, your car has turning into an absolute beast! Your times are unbelievable and it's happening so quick...wft! Any plans on running Famoso this year? Any plans on coming up to Sac anytime soon?

Ed or Scott had a question?

The headers you said are Fabspeed but these are TiAL V-Band Turbos with external waste gates? Were the Fabspeeds completly redone? I didn't think it would easy to go from a 3 bolt KKK-Style Flange to a V-Band and have the same fitment of just hacking off the end?

I wasn't doubting you. I was just agreeing with you that Sac needs to fix their timing lights for trap speed.

I hear ya. From what I heard, there was an accident in early 2009 that wiped out the post and timing lights at the end of the track. This is around the time local bracket racers noticed the higher traps. It is indeed a fact that Sac's trap are off and it should be fixed.

On the other hand, Infineon is supposedly a 500 million dollar facility and from what I hear track rentals are around 20k a day..... Infineon would be my choice of tracks if they allowed me to run the times I do without a cage. The track also showed a 12' incline and always, and Ivdo mean always has a headwind. The other night I raced we had headwind gusts up to 20+ mph...ouch.
