I was running .8 bars of boost initially in the winter... no traction.... but yes, generally one can improve with experimentation.
Joe, start from 30 mph. Im assuming in 3rd... then 4th.

then try, for me, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ... :)

How is Ohio seemepoos car breaking 6 seconds when Nicks car, which was a touch faster in head to head competition only running mid 6's?

For all the SME verification-rhetoric, something isn't adding up.

I reiterate that the true measure is how cars stack up when they face the same conditions.

Sean, you've heard of an EBC, haven't you?

But you're right, there was a nasty 10-15 mph cross wind at the track that day, so I'm sure that explains the slow times

Jamie,

Whats an EBC?

I love learning new Acronyms. My favorite is OPP.

And by the way, I promise to show you nothing but love from now on.

In return you have to let me borrow your GT-R when I visit my friend in Cleveland

Electronic boost controller, cracka. hilarious

Dr_jitsu Apr 25, 2007 10:32 PM

Boost controller...I have one of those, but it is manual....I won't run more than 1.4 bars of sustained boost.

Mark is talking me into going w/ the proto MAF and upgrading my fuel system. That will give me another 70-90 hp to the wheels and get me into the low 6's. I will probably then have Todd install an EBC so as not to blow my motor.

However, I am going to do the GIAC reflash and cat delete pipes on my CTT first. Now that I have the baby seat in the back I am making a lucrative bussiness out of racing and beating all the Mustangs in my neighboorhood.

mybe somebody can help me...
here is two driftbox graphs
this one shows speed 0-60mph(62mph is 100km/h)
http://wirx.ee/porsche/quartermile/acceleration.jpg
and this track speed after 1320ft
http://wirx.ee/porsche/quartermile/acceleration2.jpg
Here is driftbox data files www.wirx.ee/porsche/quartermile/DATA.rar

I think 122mph is good result for 2001tt, with chip, new DV-s and straight pipes.
Problem is 0-60mph, only one time I have reached 4.2 second, but thats all :s
If I start 3000rpm, all wheel spins, so its about 2800-2900rpm start and full throtle then.
I have loosen rear tire pressure 19psi and front 27psi
Outside temp was about 50F and dry weather
Tires are Pirelli P zero-s 225front and 295 rear

And another question is about powershifting, can I try it with stock internals(i have new sachs perfomance clutch +50% nm compared stock)

Looking this speeds i think 11-s are possible?
11.44 @ 124.0 - Autoaddictions / AWD
11.85 @ 122.8 - John D II / AWD
11.9x @ 122.7 - RUF R Turbo 520 HP TT (RWD)
12.22 @ 121.1 - Rwm514 / AWD
11.91 @ 119.9 - Silver / AWD
11.86 @ 119.9 - Motor Trend / Stock 996TT X50
12.32 @ 118.7 - Gtr / Stock 996TT X50

Can anybody give some suggestions to reach 11s?
thanx!

I just Pmed my email, send me the file. Powershifting will help, but it may be expensive. Just work on the 60' time, you have the trap to get in the 11's. Good luck. Kevin

Mods can this thread be split into two separate threads? One for drag racing and one for 60-130 MPH tests?

wirx May 4, 2007 08:35 AM

After closing one of turbo hoses I get this
http://wirx.ee/porsche/quartermile/11.87s.jpg
11.87@124mph but 60ft isn't good enough still (2.1 sec)

WIRX, great run but Scott needs a timeslip for the 1/4 mile times to qualify for the list...The same file you sent me for the 60-130 wasnt good since you did not reach 130mph...only 128.5mph.. Great times though and good luck with the Nitrous.... Kevin
