I am really surprised that nobody has ever beat RenntechJoe's 10.77 @ 131.5 that he set a couple of years ago in his GT2 with another GT2 (Especially seeing a few of these Proto GT2 monsters) . It's still the worlds fastest. hilarious

That's a pretty good time that Joe ran. It would take a somewhat experienced drag racer to beat that run with another GT2.

Peter,
It's a $26000 bolt on kit from EVOMS. Haha.

houstonT Apr 21, 2008 09:55 AM

OH DAMN! $125,000 (if not more) for the truck and another $25,000 for the GT700 kit? YIKES!!!!! I take defeat with a smile in this case! I can't play in that league unfortunately... Nice job acicchelli! :)

Actually the Cayenne GT700 kit is a bit cheaper than the 911 turbo one, I paid around 17k for mine when it was said and done. It was more than worth the extra money for nearly 300 more hp over stock (on race gas). There arent many cars around here that can hang with it, let alone an suv. It'll do 0-60 in 4 seconds, 0-100 in less than 10 seconds, not bad for its aero and weight. It would be a drivers race against a stock 996 911 turbo.

I am surprised about the World's Fastest GT2 time myself. It is a great time
however!!! Big Joe gets to keep his moniker for now.
I wish some of the other high powered guys would give it a go.

It looks like the usual naysayer:rolleyes: has issues with some 60-130 times that are posted. Yup, TX Gold could not have possibly posted an 8.40 sec 60-130...definately a one-off, a fluke, maybe even a conspiracy. Except for the fact he just went out and did 20+ 60-130s and guess what? There was at least a dozen that were in the 8.4 -8.6 range, one after another. Here are his times and they are in a .xls file for those who need to see more data
Time Slope %
8.64 -.19
8.64 +1.4
8.70 -.17
8.66 -.80
8.48 0.0
8.60 +.21
8.48 -.6
8.40 -1.01
8.52 -.97
8.81 +.76
8.48 +.17
8.42 -.32
8.55 +.94
8.61 -.31
8.69 +.54
8.57 +1.0
8.59 +.3
8.72 +1.4
8.65 0.0
8.61 +1.2

All these runs were done consecutively. Wow, so much for heat soak. Congrats Ryan, you must have "Real" Porsche HP. I throw up some graphs as well that dont have the "mysterious" 2nd shift:rolleyes:
