Did you get an "unofficial" quarter mile time from you DB when you did the testing?
How many rpm did you launch her from? (I assume you stood on the brake and reved).

I didnt stay into it long enough to get a good quarter mile time. I was slowing down when it passed the quarter mark. The display showed 13.1 seconds @ around 90 mph. Had I stayed in it, my guess is it would have been 12.9@109mph.

Accel Distance results
Distance() Time(s) @Speed(mph)
0-60' 02.0 34.6
0-330' 05.5 67.8
0-660' 08.4 87.1
0-1320' 13.1 90.1

I did power brake on the launch (2500rpms), but I dont think it helped all that much with the ML63. (maybe .2 second difference) It flies off the line strong without power braking. Now on my Cayenne Turbo S, it's a must to get its best times. (~ .7 second difference)

Here is a run from my stock Cayenne TT before I got a PB. Its a g-tech (please forgive me) but is interesting for comparison purposes. I power-braked the start ~3000rpms. I heard though if you rev too high some kind of abuse prevention feature kicks in and partially disables the drivetrain which clears on a restart, if Iam remembering correctly as it never happened to me. BTW, my run has a 12in roll-out more like a drag strip. To convert to 0-xmph add 0.35s to the x velocity.

EDIT: I was actually wrong about the roll out. Its already added into the 0-x speeds but not into the graph.

Good run. On my Cayenne Turbo S, it only allows me to rev to 2500 rpms on a power brake launch. This RPM is more than sufficient for a good start though. In my 04 Cayenne TT, it would allow me to rev higher but then it barely moved off the line (must have been that abuse prevention feature). I can say that the ML63 is faster than a stock Cayenne Turbo S. I had my Cayenne upgraded with EVOMS GT700 and on race gas the engine puts out close to 800hp.

Aaron

EDIT: The Driftbox also has the 12 inch rollout set up.

Do you have any D-Box runs of your Cayenne TT S before mods?

I was able to get 0-60 in 4.8 seconds with the dbox b4 mods. That is the only thing I can remember.

Its really is incredible when you consider the performance of both these stock SUVs in some perspective. I had a 1998 C5 corvette that ran a 13.2s quarter at 107mph (and I had to abuse the drivetrain somewhat to get that!) At the time I thought that was very fast. Before that I had a stock 95 Supra TT that ran ~13.5s @105mph. I would have never imagined that a 2.5+ ton SUV would be able to beat either one of those cars...

Did a few dbox runs in the ML63. Car is completely stock and temp was 73 degrees with 50% humidity.

Here are the results:

0-60mph 4.46 sec
0-100mph 11.11 sec

60-130mph 14.39 sec on 2.72% decline.
100-200kmh 11.95 sec

Not bad for a stock SUV. The 0-60, 0-100mph times are about identical with what Road and Track obtained.

Sent you the raw dbn file Scott for verfication.

Got it, Aaron.

Sorry to take so long to reply, but I've been out of town for a combat shooting course.

Anyway, nice job and thank you for continuing to give us all of this great data!

Adam Bowles ran a 7.70 on 93 octane with 1-shift on a modest 1.8% decline in his Proto PE650. Great job, Adam!

Guys,

Adam Bowles ran a 7.28 on MS103 in his AWD Proto PE 650 with 1-shift. The run was on a 1.2% decline.

Congrats, Adam!

Thanks Scott!!

That was on 1.18bar, so hopefully at 1.25bar I can do better.
